For those old enough to remember the first apple macintosh (pictured below) which was unveiled in 1984 (OMG!) - you may recall the smiling Mac icon as designed by Susan Kare which appeared on screen as it booted up (read Mark Penfold's blogpost "Design Icon: The Mac Icons")

It is this image that helped inspire my entry for this weeks Illustration Friday topic - Prehistoric.

Don't you just hate it when experiments go wrong?

My entry is inspired by the movie The Fly the 1958 version of course. Where a scientist has a horrific accident when he tries to use his newly invented teleportation device. You can enjoy the trailer by following this link The Fly Trailer.

Found this appropriate image for my Illustration Friday entry, apologies for being too lazy to create something new. Thought I would show this off, this was a style of illustration I was doing before computers took over my life - I still get the coloured sheets of paper out occasionally along with the ozone friendly spraymount & attempt the odd masterpiece!!.
BTW my snowman is looking far too happy for those 'frozen' conditions.

Would have had this posted earlier but stoopid me did not archive file & I lost all a/w along with a whole lot of other stuff - so the moral of the story is "BACK UP YOUR FILES REGULARLY".
